This boat puts me in mind of the eponymous Swallow from the Swallows and Amazons books… is that Wildcat Island in the background?
What did this image teach me?
The first Swallows and Amazons book was published in 1930, and has been inspiring children (and some bigger children too!) for many generations, and hopefully will continue to do so.
