The Foxglove

I know I’ve posted a lot of flower photos recently, but I can’t help it – there’s something infinitely fascinating about the various colours and shapes. Foxgloves are particularly interesting… it’s as though they are perfectly (and intentionally) designed for bees.

What did this image teach me?

That as a species bees are something like 5 million years older than flowering plants… so what were they doing all that time?
