  • Windsor Castle

    Windsor Castle

This shot of Windsor Castle was taken a few years ago… from the water.

  • Stone Heart Seat

    Stone Heart Seat

Several years ago, we had one of those years where everyone seemed to be getting married. At one of the venues (I’m afraid I can’t remember which), there was this interesting little seat, set into the wall of an old barn.

  • The Shard

    The Shard

Here’s a shot of one of London’s most recognisable buildings… The Shard

  • Mump in the Mist

    Mump in the Mist

It’s been a while, so here’s a shot of Burrow Mump. This was taken last week, just before sunrise. The low-lying mist is just visible.

  • Follow the Path

    Follow the Path

This is a view from the garden at Lytes Cary, a National Trust property.

  • The Round House

    The Round House

So, what do you think this building is for?

  • The Golden Hall

    The Golden Hall

The sun was at the perfect angle to light up this cathedral architecture.

  • The Statue Corridor

    The Statue Corridor

This is an example of a visual composition technique called “leading lines”… where the viewer is drawn into the photograph by a series of visual lines (such as those in the tiled floor, or the lights in the ceiling), creating depth and interest (hopefully).

  • The Door

    The Door

I know it’s a simple shot, and not to everyone’s tastes, but I like this simple, wooden doorway. I wonder what’s behind this door?
