Burrow Mump (from the archive)
Here’s a location that I haven’t posted about in a while! Yep, it’s a couple of older shots of Burrow Mump (from almost a decade ago) that have never seen the light of day before.

The Duomo of Florence
Looming large over the whole of beautiful Florence in Italy, is the Duomo. Designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, the enormous dome was added to the cathedral in the 15th century, almost two centuries after initial construction began.

A (but not THE) David
This is a replica of Michaelangelo’s David, on display in the car park overlooking the beautiful and very picturesque city of Florence in Italy. There are several David statues scattered around the city, amongst the many, many, many other statues that you can find there.

The Golden Mask
Venice is famous for masks, and its carnival. This particular example was on display in the shade of the Rialto Bridge.

Walk To The Water
This jetty sits upon the sandy beach at Lido di Jesolo, in north east Italy. I ventured out in the early hours of the morning to explore, and came across this scene that was too good to ignore.

A Venetian Tower
Aaaah Venice! What a fantastic and fantastical city, where roads are replaced by waterways and around every other corner there’s an interesting tower or bridge.

The Golden Lion
The MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas is famous for having these huge golden lions outside (it used to have real ones inside but fortunately animal welfare rules forced them into retirement).

Calico Ghost Town
As a former silver mining town, Calico now stands as a ghost town / museum. Founded in 1881, and almost completely abandoned by 1907, this hot, desert location once had a population of 3,500 all trying to find their fortune in silver. It has spent almost twice as much time as a museum / park…
