Big Bee
Bees are vital pollinators, without whom many of the plants we grow for food would die out. What did this image teach me? That there a many photos in my archive that have long been overlooked, and in this time of isolation and generally not going out, I have a chance to rectify that situation.

The Pale Flower
There’s something fascinating and poetic about flowers, I think. Some of Mother Nature’s finest work. What did this image teach me? If I were told that from now on all I could photograph was flowers, I would probably be ok with that, as for every rose there is a dandelion, for every daffodil a daisy.

Pelican’s Eye
Dalmatian Pelican’s are large water birds with large sack-like bills and piercing pale eyes. What did this image teach me? That it’s entirely possible to be intimidated by a pelican – I mean, look at that eye!

Pampered Primate
This is the Baboon equivalent of a spa-day… What did this image teach me? Sometimes its very easy to fall into the trap of anthropomorphising animals, imbuing them with some kind of human emotion, understanding, or perspective – but when you see scenes like this, you can understand why it’s so easy.
