    Circles in the Ceiling

This unusual and somewhat abstract shot was taken in Dubai, whilst exploring one of the many large shopping malls they have there.

  • The Lighthouse on Eilean Musdile

    The Lighthouse on Eilean Musdile

This lighthouse, built in 1833 by famed Scottish civil engineer Robert Stevenson, sits upon the tiny island of Eilean Musdile. If you catch the ferry from Oban to Mull you will pass very closely to this historic building.

    Old Boat Detail

This is a close of up colourful, abandoned boats on the shores of Mull. I don’t know how long they’ve been there but given their general state of repair it must’ve been quite some time.

Here’s another detail from the Grand Canyon. The sheer scale of this place is impossible to depict in a single image. It’s truly miraculous to behold.

  • Canyon Colours

    Canyon Colours

This is the Grand Canyon, Arizona. It’s amazing to think that the thin strip of blue down there, the Colorado River, had the power to carve out this huge canyon.

  • Taal Monument

    Taal Monument

And so we end the month with a somewhat unusual architectural structure. It’s part sculpture, part historical tribute, and part futuristic alien landscape… it’s the monument to the Afrikaans language, found in South Africa.
