I was intrigued by the lens flare I managed to capture in this shot. I deliberately used a very shallow depth of field, in order to try and isolate the tree from the rest of the image.
Nature can be both beautiful and a little bit ugly all at the same time. That’s what this image means to me.
This is the first image in my 2017 Challenge to photograph 12 red things. It’s a post box and a church doorway… I liked the way the two red rectangles reflected each other.
This small door (probably no more than 4 feet high) is built into the side of a church. I have no idea why such a small door would be there… perhaps people really were so much small in centuries past?
