PHOTOGRAPHING THE WORLD, AS I SEE IT.

  • All Aboard!

    All Aboard!

Hello everyone, we’ve reached that time of year again… we are heading out onto the inland waterways. We’ve brought the whole crew together again, that’s five adults (or at least five people of adult age!) and Jerry. Roll call: Captain Josephine First Mate Elaine Bosun Scott (me) Chief Engineer Trevor Ship’s Boy Harry Site Security…

  • Abandoned

    Abandoned

These boats, sitting quietly on the shore at Salen, on the Isle of Mull, have become something of a tourist attraction. They are very picturesque. This shot was taken a few years ago, it would be good to go back one of these days and see how much they’ve changed.

  • Old Boat Detail

    Old Boat Detail

This is a close of up colourful, abandoned boats on the shores of Mull. I don’t know how long they’ve been there but given their general state of repair it must’ve been quite some time.

  • On Golden Pond

    On Golden Pond

This little boat was bathed in early morning light, turning the water around it into a golden, shimmering pond.

  • Bright Behind The Gate

    Bright Behind The Gate

This gate provided a great silhouette, on a bright and sunny day.

  • Silky White

    Silky White

I really liked the silky texture of this flower. It was blooming in the boughs of a large tree. The light was great, and really helped with this shot.

  • Fern

    Fern

Here are some fern fronds growing out of an old stone wall. I found this somewhere in the Highlands of Scotland.

  • Episode 26 – Tavistock Canal

    Episode 26 – Tavistock Canal

In this episode we walk along the old Tavistock canal, which had a relatively short but productive commercial life, transporting goods from Tavistock to the nearby Morwhellam Quay. Did you know that this canal was built on a slope? Or that it was completely contained upon the land of a Duke?

  • Gorilla in the Green

    Gorilla in the Green

This is a Western Lowland Gorilla, relaxing amongst some greenery. Gorillas are the largest of the great apes, though the Western Lowland Gorilla is actually the smallest of the Gorillas. Their scientific name is gorilla gorilla gorilla.

Do you like what you see?
