The Statue Corridor
This is an example of a visual composition technique called “leading lines”… where the viewer is drawn into the photograph by a series of visual lines (such as those in the tiled floor, or the lights in the ceiling), creating depth and interest (hopefully).

The Holy Island of Lindisfarne
This old castle stands on the peak of Holy Island, a small island off the North-East coast of England. The first records of this place come from the 6th Century AD, although the small castle shown in this photograph was built around 1550.

This is a snippet of the Tudor buildings at Little Moreton Hall. It took around a century for the Moreton family to complete the building of this opulent family home.

A Spectacled Dove
This bird, with its fantastically dotted wings, and soft “glasses” around the eye, is a real character. As much as a fan of the still image as I am, I wish I’d taken some video of this bird as it hopped slightly clumsily around the rocks.
