I found these white petals nestled amongst the shadows whilst walking around the Greenway estate a few weeks ago. What did this image teach me? A shallow depth of field can be a very useful thing – it helped to “de-clutter” the background of this shot.

Another day, another black and white flower photograph (I make no apologies for enjoying some black and white imagery!) What did this image teach me? I really enjoy black and white photography and flowers make for a very good monochromatic subject, especially as we are so used to see them in bright, vibrant colour!
