The Chinese Theatre
If you know anything about Hollywood history, you’ll have heard of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. The theatre opened in 1927, showing Cecil B. DeMille’s The King of Kings. 50 years later, the premier of Star Wars happened here, in the summer of 1977.

The Shepherd
This pyramid peak in Glencoe has the delightful name of Buachaille Etive Mòr. It is nicknamed The Shepherd, and has featured in a James Bond movie. This was the first photo I ever took in Scotland.

Slains Castle
This ruined Aberdeenshire castle overlooks the North Sea. The main part of the castle was built over 500 years ago, though it’s deterioration into a ruin only really start in the 1920s, when the roof was removed for tax purposes. There was a plan to restore the castle, but this has been on hold for…
