Ok, I am the first to admit that this isn’t the most beautiful creature on this earth, but it is fascinating. This caterpillar won’t grow up into a butterfly or moth, oh no… it will become a fly. A sawfly specifically.
What did this image teach me?
For the first time in my (considerable years) on this planet, I learned that it’s not only butterflies and moths that start off as caterpillars… who knew?!
